Skylar Rogers was born and raised in some of Chicago's toughest neighborhoods, and learned at an early age that music brought people together. Music and faith are primary sources of strength and inspiration for Skylar, who truly believes that "Music survives the worst, and celebrates the best."

Skylar has enjoyed singing with artists such as  Ms. Zeno "The Mojo Queen," Tab Benoit (pictured here on drums),Terrie Odabi, Kevin Burt and Annika Chambers. She successfully launched her debut release, "Insecurities" in 2018, and with her band, The Blue Diamonds, brings a sound that has been often described as a "cross between Tina [Turner] and Etta [James]."

"Count Skylar Rogers as one of the up and coming blues singers and songwriters to keep track of. Skylar Rogers and the Blue Diamonds made a major impression on blues fans when they opened up the Prairie Crossroads Blues Fest 2019. From belting out classics to sharing her personal journey, she's making a name for herself in the blues scene. "

"She will become known for her different style. I love that it comes from her heart and her life struggles to make her who she is today, a humble young lady who is very giving, and a songbird who has my attention and soon the world. Give her a microphone and in a minute she will win your heart."
